The ADHD internet has been arguing about task management apps for years. The honest answer: the best app is the one with the least setup friction for your specific brain. There's no universal winner. But there are clear patterns for different needs.

For simple capture: Todoist

Todoist wins for people who need frictionless task capture above everything else. Type a task, hit enter, it's in. Natural language input means you can type "call dentist Thursday at 2pm" and it parses it automatically. Low setup, low maintenance, stays out of your way.

For the system-builders: Notion

Notion is powerful but comes with a warning: it's a rabbit hole. ADHD brains love building Notion systems. Actually using them is different. If you've spent more time building your productivity system than using it, Notion is probably not your answer.
